I'm thrilled to introduce Vouch, and I want to share the personal journey behind it.

After graduating in 2019, I joined a startup in Oslo that scaled from 100 to 600 people globally. I was on the front lines of hiring, and I experienced the chaos firsthand: the difficulty of screening candidates, the administrative overload, and the challenge of creating well-scoped roles.

I've always believed in the power of referrals. Most of my own opportunities came through recommendations, and I saw how referred hires had higher retention. That's why I initially joined Vouch as a referral-only job board—to democratize access to "hidden" opportunities.

But we kept hearing about deeper problems. How can recruiters see the real person behind the resume? How can we use AI to screen candidates in rather than out? How can we stop ghosting and make the process more human?

This led us to build Vouch 2.0: an AI-powered ATS designed to make life easier for both recruiters and candidates. We've doubled down on referrals, but now we're also building an intelligent assistant that handles the admin—scheduling, follow-ups, insights—so recruiters can focus on what matters most: connecting with people.
